Vehicle Description This car started its life as an extremely desirable Ram Air I, 4 Speed in which is 1 of only 650 believed to be built.
Ordered new by the son of an Ohio Pontiac dealership, this car was optioned to be a race car.
Factory Radio delete, Ram Air I engine, 4 Speed manual transmission and Safe-T-Track rear axle.
It is believed this car was converted right away to be a purpose built drag car, with a believed to be original 4,461 miles.
The car still has the original Ram Air I XS coded engine block, which today is extremely hard to find.
Adding to the luster of original unobtanium parts, this GTO is equipped with the super special and exceedingly rare RAM V cylinder heads and single 4bbl Intake manifold.
This GTO is had fiberglass nose fitted, mini tubs installed, a plethora of drag race suspension upgrades, roll cage, fuel cell, all done during its heyday in the 1970's.
This car sat dormant for many years and was given a once over by the experts at Kilpatrick Engine and Transmission in Waukesha Wisconsin.
This GTO was kept in a preservation state to keep the period correct modifications.
These time capsule drag cars are few and far between and add in the RAM V pieces, this becomes a very special and unique car in the marketplace.
